The McKee Seniors Rec Center will be holding a Downhome Kitchen Party (dinner and dance)
at their center. Featuring Jiggs dinner with baron of beef with dessert and tea or coffee.

Annual Lobster Boil

TheLower Mainland Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Society is pleased to announce that the annual “Lobster Boil” date has been set. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, June 4^th, 2011. It will be held this year at Cornelia Butler’s home, 1153 Silverwood Crescent in North Vancouver. Start time is 3 pm.

Tickets are twenty dollars each for fresh cooked lobster, side salads and roll.

This is a BYOB event, so please bring something to drink, your most comfortable lawn chair, something to crack your lobster with and, of course, don’t forget your appetite! Sorry, no pets allowed.

As this is a smaller venue, with a reduced number of tickets, we are offering tickets to members in good standing first before opening it up to the general public. Current members, if you wish to attend, please RSVP with number of tickets by Monday, May 16^th.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, May 17^th.

St. Paddy's Day Dinner

From the Irish Club of BC: It is that time of the year again when we are finalizing our plans for our annual St Patrick’s night function. The date is Thursday March 17^th 2011.

We shall be returning to the Pacific Inn (Pink Palace) and the Management has given us the Main Ballroom for our function. The address of the Pacific Inn is:-

1160 King George Blvd.

We will be having a traditional Corn Beef Brisket with all the trimmings and the meal will include Salad and a variety of pies A La Mode.

The entertainment for the evening will be “Brian Nicholl”.
The doors will open at 6 PM when we hope to enjoy a few Cocktails. We will continue until Midnight.
Tickets are $35 each.
