The Irish flag was designed by Thomas F. Meagher, son of the Newfoundland-born mayor of Waterford, Ireland. The Lower Mainland Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Society would like to remind you that their St. Patrick’s Day Dance will soon be upon us. Price includes a light snack to be served later in the evening. Doors open at 7:00pm and the dancing will start around 8:00pm. The music will be provided by the “Bully Boys”, a five piece band that plays everything from rollicking sea shanties to that good old rock ‘n roll. And, of course, there will be lots of Irish tunes as well. Members of the Newfoundland Society urge you to get your tickets soon as space is limited.
