Welcome to the Lower Mainland Newfoundland & Labrador Heritage Society BC! We encourage all Newfoundlanders, Labradorians, Maritimers and friends to join us for fun social events and fundraisers. You're all invited to attend our upcoming events:

Jim Cole and the Friends of Pierce Pynn are having a social and dance at the Elks Club in White Rock. Pierce, one of the founding members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Society and a well known Newfoundlander to many in the Lower Mainland, the first one on the spot when anyone else needs a hand, and the life of many a party and Screech In needs the support of his friends during a difficult time. If you know this man and all that he does, clear your calendar for this special evening.

This event is being sponsored by the Friends of Pierce Pynn. There will be live music by Jim Cole and his band. We are requesting that everyone bring finger foods and desserts to share. Doors open at 7:00 pm.

April 2009 Vancouver Sun Run

A suggestion has been put forward by one of our members that the Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Society plan to take part in the Vancouver Sun Run for April 2009 (That's next year, folks). we'll be polling the members, their friends and family and anyone else interested over the course of the year to sign up for as many teams as we can get.
